Tapas in Cala Major

Where to eat tapas in Cala Major

Looking for traditional Spanish tapas near Cala Major beach? At Calypso we have more than twenty to share on the terrace. We are at Avinguda Joan Miró 273, the main street of the neighbourhood, a two-minute walk from the beach and ten minutes by car from Palma city centre.

The classic tapas, done properly

Garlic prawns (€18), fried calamari with black aioli (€16), Spanish omelette (€9), padrón peppers (€10), croquetas (€10), Iberian ham (€25), Manchego cheese (€14) and patatas bravas or with aioli (€9). These are the traditional Spanish tapas everyone knows, made in our kitchen and served in generous portions for sharing.

Charcoal-grilled tapas

Besides the classics, several tapas come off the charcoal grill: octopus leg (€23), king prawn (€19), Angus skirt steak (€22) and provoleta with onion and roasted pepper (€12). If you come as a group, order a few for the middle of the table.

Tapas and paella: the full plan

Many guests start with a few tapas while their paella is cooking. We make it to order, so it takes about 25-30 minutes. Add a cold beer, a sangria or a mojito, on any of our three terraces or inside with air conditioning. The kitchen is open all day from 12:00 to 23:30, Tuesday to Sunday, March to October.
