Mediterranean food in Palma

Mediterranean restaurant near the beach in Palma

Calypso is a Mediterranean restaurant in Cala Major, the beach neighbourhood about five kilometres from Palma city centre. Since 2015 we have been cooking homemade paella to order, traditional Spanish tapas, fish and top-quality charcoal-grilled meats, to enjoy on the terrace two minutes from the beach.

Simple Mediterranean cooking, made to order

The menu is built around rice, seafood, fish and the charcoal grill. Six homemade paellas (seafood, peeled seafood, black, octopus and seafood, Iberian pork and vegetable), sea bream and John Dory (€24) with fries and salad, grilled octopus and king prawns, and salads such as the burrata.

Three terraces in the Mediterranean air

Eating outdoors is part of Mediterranean food. We have three large outdoor terraces on Avinguda Joan Miró, a two-minute walk from Cala Major beach, plus an air-conditioned dining room for the hottest nights.

Getting here from Palma centre

We are at Avinguda Joan Miró 273, the main street of Cala Major, about ten minutes by car from Palma city centre towards Illetas. The kitchen is open all day from 12:00 to 23:30, Tuesday to Sunday, March to October.
