Argentine food in Palma

Argentinian restaurant in Palma de Mallorca

Calypso was opened in 2015 by an Argentine family, Cristian, Pepe and Sabrina, in Cala Major (Palma). Alongside the paella, tapas and charcoal grill, the menu has the classics we eat at home: empanadas, milanesas, lomito, provoleta and chocotorta.

The Argentine classics on our menu

Argentine empanadas with beef, chicken or ham and cheese (€10 for two), classic milanesa with fries and a fried egg (€26), milanesa napolitana (€28), milanesa Calypso (€30), milanesa sandwich (€17) and lomito cordobés (€17).

Charcoal grill, provoleta and fugazzeta

The charcoal grill is the most Argentine part of our kitchen: Angus skirt steak and entrecôte (€25 and €28), Iberian pork secreto and provoleta with onion and roasted pepper (€12). Among the pizzas you'll find the fugazzeta (€16), and for dessert the chocotorta (€8), the classic made with chocolate biscuits and dulce de leche.

An Argentine family in Cala Major

We came to Mallorca full of hope, grew and learned, made it through the pandemic, and we are still here every season. Whether you are Argentine and miss the taste of home, or have never tried a milanesa or a fernet and cola, we are waiting for you two minutes from Cala Major beach, Tuesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 23:30.
