A half-day plan in Cala Major
In the morning, the Marivent Gardens, free to enter when open to the public, with Miró sculptures among pine trees and sea views. Then the Miró Foundation, with the artist's original studio. For lunch, walk down to the avenue and sit on one of our three terraces or, on hot days, in the air-conditioned dining room.
What to order
If there are two or more of you, a homemade paella cooked to order (25-30 minutes, priced for two). If you are short of time, traditional Spanish tapas: garlic prawns, fried squid rings, Spanish omelette, Iberian ham and patatas bravas. Meat lovers go for the Angus skirt steak or rib-eye from the charcoal grill.
After lunch, the beach
Cala Major beach is a two-minute walk away. With the kitchen open from 12:00 to 23:30, Tuesday to Sunday, you can have a late lunch, go down to the beach and come back for dinner or a sangria on the terrace at sunset.
